TRCK REVIEW: Twin Fix - All This Time
Indie-pop siblings “Twin Fix” rapt surprisingly and drew great in-site airplay from local radio stations with their track “True”, a catchy and (let me say this) hip track with very noticeable heights and a melodically stimulating hook.
Not really biological siblings, but both Multimedia students Nik Bustamante and Christela Marquez started “Twin Fix” during their stay in De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. Dominantly invested in multimedia, the Twins’ musical influence are Kimbra, DeBarge and The 1975.
The duo returns with another new single in “All This Time”, the synth-heavy and rapidly evolving percussion gives quick life to the track, with buzzing electronic accompaniments crafting a soundscape alongside with Nik and Christela’s vocals. Though a new release, I can easily say that “True” is still better than this. I still regard “True” as their breakout single. I’m also a bit iffy with the mix of this new track; I can’t specifically list down the flaws, but it’s really obvious. Moreover, “All This Time” will have a version with Meh Shua, a first collaboration track from “Twin Fix”. I’m just hoping that this remix can improve this track.
