TRCK OF THE WEEK: Equation Crisis - Clementine
Bulacan-based post-hardcore band Equation Crisis has dropped a nuclear bomb of a single over the weekend and they’ve been the sought after band to look out for outside the Metro.
Looking back at the band’s entire discography and singles they’ve released a couple years ago, their newest release titled ,“Clementine”, is their heaviest single ever released. Weighing in for 6 minutes and 16 seconds, Equation Crisis’ immense offering has everything to show from the heavy amount of influences (bands like Thursday and Counterparts) and the gorgeous, clean, chiseled production. Post-hardcore has found its way outside of the Metro’s booming new-age metalcore and punk scene.
On a serious note, “Clementine” rocks it out without even having a single dull moment. I often times come across local post-hardcore as a genre that I would easily set aside but bands like Equation Crisis caught my ears not midway of their single but right at the very beginning. Every second of Clementine sounded like you’re about to escape from the abyss; Epic and relatively awe-inspiring as it progresses.
