Anesthesia - Home Demo Review

home demo ep cover

I've excavated far enough to discover Bandcamp while searching through the "Philippines" tag. But not as long as i found this strange demo release from this "lo-fi / noise-punk" band from the Bicol region. Quite surprising that local lo-fi has actually gone that far.

Armed with loud drumming (way too loud to be completely honest) and low res distorted guitars, followed with faint vocals, vague lyrics, and a track paying homage to The Smiths, Anesthesia releases a very decent 'Home' demo.

It may be rough around the edges at first but its dedication through the DIY aesthetic adds up to the grainy, gray-scale sound of contemporary lo-fi (in the Bicol region of course)
