TRCK OF THE WEEK: PALEPATHS - Forever

After a vicious back and forth battle of a band that clearly needs to redo their sound (or abandon it for good), Listening to the brand new single of Melodic Hardcore band Palepaths' "Forever", is the perfect palette cleanser after all the ~SC~ fiasco .

Hailing from Olongapo, Zambales, Palepaths make the Touche Amore and Counterparts influences pretty clear in this single of theirs. And that's not a bad thing.

In their brand new single titled 'Forever', the track lets the tragedy sound pleasant without going overboard. Lyric-wise, its alright, i liked the tiny bits in the final part of the single where the lead vox keeps on repeating the last lines over and over. I thought it was well structured and it has a nice build to it.

The production here is spotless, its technicalities are mint and has that effective rawness that didn't stumble on most melodic hardcore bands that i listen to in the Metro. I hope a lot of aspiring melowdic hahdcore musicians here in the city should take notes from these deep-rooted Gapo youngsters.

listen to the single in their Bandcamp page and watch out for their upcoming album The Cotard Delusion: https://palepaths.bandcamp.com/track/forever
